Contiki Craziness - Part 4

Day 4 - Munich to Innsbruck, Austria

After the huge piss up the night before we all managed to get out of bed and ready for the trip from Munich to Innsbruck. Breakfast was pretty tasty, bacon eggs etc. very nice! We got on the bus nice and early and all felt nice and ill.

Within an hour or two we ended up at a Concentration Camp, it was quite moving and disturbing at the same time. It's hard to imagine exactly what it would have been like during those days but it mustn't have been pleasant. We only spent 1 hour at the camp but it was enough time to have a quick look around.

We got back on the bus and started heading to Austria. Our tour guide Nat announced we were off for an unscheduled visit to some fancy pants German Castles. We arrived at the location which was also our lunch stop, instead of checking out the castles first we grabbed some food. This left us with 1 hour to check out the Castles. We were told it would take 40 minutes to get up to the Castle but we scooted up the hill in about 20 minutes flat. Captn's Hook, Barboasa and Sparrow slacked behind having snowball fights as there was snow everywhere - they arrived about 5 minutes after me the slackers. We then got a few shots of the Castle and a Waterfall which was also up there. We raced back down the hill to get a few photos by the lake which came out pretty well. We then jumped straight back on the bus and took off again.

We arrived in Innsbruck and checked out a fancy pants crystal shop and the copper roof (the ruler of Innsbruck used to look out from this roof to check out his people eating below in the markets - well I think this is what happened). Instead of waiting for dinner we thought we'd try out some local food in the market. We ended up having some sausage and garlic ham & onion potatoes - it was bloody tasty and Full of GARLIC. Captain Barboasa gave Captain Hook a taste of Garlic when they did a silent but violent death burp in their face, boy did Captain Hook jump. We then headed back to the hotel to call it a night - we had an early one due to the HUGE brithday drinks the previous night.
